BiznessApps has an achievement of more than 500,000 successfully built and running apps, a feat that put this amazing CMS among the top performers in the world of app building CMS providers in America. With their key focus towards ease of use, “no-coding required” designing and quality apps, BiznessApps is a great tool for those business owners for whom the tech world is a foreign territory.
Their market specific approach helps many business owners to create apps from scratch, without any hassle, and include all the necessary features to let the app users have a great experience. For instance, if you are building an app for avid golfers, you can include details such as the hole to hole distance, par info, and everything else that makes it easy for the golfer, and the caddy as well!
And not just that, BiznessApps brings along a whole lot of app categories, features and styles. Be it an app for a gym, a restaurant, or real estate, BiznessApps provides all the necessary features that you need to make just the perfect app. And this is exactly where we come across a question, is BiznessApps really that great? Let’s put it to test and see how it performs on various parameters. Read along for our Bizness Apps review…
First of all, before using the BiznessApps platform, you need to sign up with them. The process is fairly easy, but you will need to provide your phone number to them. As it goes with all the business owners, technical and non-technical alike, logical approach is a must. Keeping this perspective in mind, BiznessApps created a very logical editor, which allows you to proceed from point A to point B with a logical approach. However, it is definitely not among the most user friendly editors we have tested so far.
BiznessApps comes with the preview feature, which pops up every time you click on preview button, but it’s a tad too slow in comparison to other app builders. As a matter of fact, there are some app building platforms which come with an “Always on” previewer.
Moreover, whenever you make any change to your app, you’ll have to save it manually, which means you’ll have to be careful about leaving the page. Thankfully, the system reminds you about the unsaved changes before leaving the page.
BiznessApps offers plenty of templates with modern themes, with 3 individual styles for each category. If you want to, you can also add an animated slider feature, and customize it as per your liking. These features are especially useful when used for product previews and can also be used with other sections of your app.
However, once you start building your app, you can’t switch between templates unless you start building your app from scratch all over again. Moreover, the task of removing demo data from the templates can become a bit confusing at times.
BiznessApps comes in really handy for creating apps in many languages, as it supports the most common languages spoken and used all over the world. We are talking about the major languages here. The website is available only in English though.
With Shopify and/or Magento stores integration, BiznessApps offers a decent e-commerce solution for business owners planning to build e-commerce sites using this platform. Moreover, if you want to build a store from ground zero, you can do so by using the inbuilt customizable catalog feature.
For the checkout purpose, BiznessApps connects you with Braintree, which allows you to receive payments using the most preferred gateway, PayPal, but you can also choose other gateways of your choice as well. What makes Braintree a sensible choice is that for the first $50,000 sales, you don’t need to pay any fee to them!
Now this one may come across as a disappointment, as BiznessApps doesn’t offer any social media module through which you can integrate Facebook or Twitter with your app. If you want to do so, it can only be done through adding each of these platforms by using the webpage feature. But you do get the choice to integrate your Instagram account here, but you won’t get the freedom to change the gallery’s appearance.
It won’t be an overstatement to call Support the strong suit of BiznessApps. Their online knowledge base is compiled in various step-by-step sections, and searching for particular topic is also pretty easy. And then they also have the much needed FAQ section, where the most common queries are taken care of. And that’s not all, BiznessApps also offers an active blog, and you also get to access plenty of video tutorials. They also offer live support through their Live Chat service, and their email response time is also commendable. You just can’t help but be all praise about their support services.
As we mentioned before, the editor of BiznessApps fairs pretty well on the logical side, but it’s not as user friendly as it should be. The slow interface and couple of hard to add features left us with no other choice, but to take one and a half stars away.
As for now, BiznessApps only supports apps based HTML5, Android and iOS platforms. Windows and Blackberry mobile phones are not supported yet.
- Ad Support: iAds, Double Click, AdMob and your own.
- Push Notifications: Available only for mobile apps (that’s all that matters here; after all, we are reviewing this tool for mobile app, and not mobile sites).
- Location Based Services: they offer both the “directions” as well as “around us” options for location feature of Google as well as Apple.
- RSS Feeds: A standalone feature.
- Reseller Program: Available as a “Reseller plan” check Pricing section for further details.
- Team Management, iBeacons, and API not available.
- Testing and Analytics: Available.
BiznessApps offers two subscription plans:
- Single App: $42 per month (billed annually) and $59 per month (billed monthly)
- Reseller: $250 per month (billed annually) and $300 per month (billed monthly)
We were really impressed by some of the features that BiznessApps has to offer. Understanding the backend is also not a tough nut to crack. Webinars, blogs and video tutorials also helped a lot in getting familiar with this CMS platform. And then you have the freedom to include several screenshots of your app while publishing it on the stores (App Store and Play Store). This platform is a bit expensive though, but it’s justified in a way that this cost also includes App Store publishing.
Although BiznessApps does offer plenty of really useful features, we felt they could do better. For example: they don’t API or Team Management up their sleeve. We hope they’ve got some really amazing upgrades in the pipeline, and will include other features as well in near future. We also request BiznessApps to bring about an app previewer that is a tad bit faster.
Their ad support is commendable, and so are the templates and the customizable animated slider. This is something other app builders can learn from BiznessApps. However, they should really work on the interface.
All in all, if you are running a small business, your requirements can be easily met with BiznessApps. Try once and do let us know how you like it. We will wait for your reviews as well. Have fun!
